09 - Vertical Slice: Week 4

With the second week of full production we set out implementing the Main Character and blocking out the project with 3D Assets.


The members of my team were Kaylum-Lee Birrell, Michael Roe, Julian Fraile and Pichinat Audesley.


Julian got down to business designing and drawing the sprite of our Main Character, Terry Gardiner. He drew animations for running, jumping, dashing and idleing around.



Michael also created 3D models for a mushroom and rocks to be placed in the level and the background:



I also endeavoured to get the enemies working. The aim was to get them to move and shoot at the player and I achieved this after some effort. The video showcasing this is below:



With all the pieces coming together, I recorded a showcase of all the mechanics, artwork together. The 3D models were not yet fully implemented.
