Sunday was my C-Day, and on that day I was tasked with leading the team that would visit a local church.

As team leader, it was my job to organise team meetings and take charge of the situation when meeting the pastor and church. Our goal was to mobilise the local church to support Missionaries around the world, through prayer, giving or even going themselves.
It was quite the responsibility, but I put my faith in God and gave all my troubles to him. Indeed, all my fears were put to rest as the day went smoothly and the preparation was worth it.
While travelling to the church my team got chatting to our driver, and learnt that his wife was an English teacher. Here are some photos of the journey.

When we arrived, we received a warm welcome, and despite the church being quite small, the atmosphere was pleasant.

The service went smoothly, and despite some technical difficulties (wouldn’t be a church without those), we got our message across. Indeed our program was effective and many hearts were stirred to support Missionaries around the globe.
After the service my team was invited for lunch at one of the locals house. It would have been rude to refuse.

We had some delightful appetisers while relaxing outside in the sun.
After this, we were invited inside for the main course. With some salad as a side we were treated to some local cuisine; the Uruguayan barbecue!

After this, we finished up with some delicious desserts and some coffee.

Honestly, the generosity was overwhelming, and the food was delicious. It was a real feast.
After this, it was time to return to the ship. The locals drove us home and we even gave them a tour, as a way of saying thank you!
This C-Day was incredible, and honestly a testament to God and His goodness.
