Since my last C-Day, all of Bookfair have been doing is all-day shifts as PST Valparaiso was still learning the ropes.

As you can imagine, this was exhausting, so unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to update my blog until today.

Anyway, today I will be showing you some of the more significant locations on the ship.

Here is the lobby on Deck 5. This is where the crew enters the ship and often is the premier meeting place for offshore events. During sailing, often the area is full of seasick people, resembling a makeshift clinic.

Down B Stairs is my cabin. It is located on Deck 1, the very bottom of the ship. Every time I want to get from my cabin to the dining room for breakfast, I must scale 5 flights of stairs. Quite the morning workout.

On Deck 6 is the Dining Room. There are three food lines; Line 1 (working people), Line 2 (Normal People) and Line 3 (families) . Most of the time, I use Line 2, but during the all-day shifts I have been using Line 1 for both Lunch and Dinner.

Also on Deck 6 is the Logos Lounge. This is where most of the morning devotions are held, as well as Church and other onboard events.

Up a deck onto Deck 7, the Staff Lounge is where the majority of recreational activities are located. There are computers, board games, a ship shop and even a ping pong table.

Deck 8 is the school 🎓 and none of Ships Company is allowed there.

Deck 9 is the very top of the ship. The football cage is located here. It is the favourite place for seasick people and people looking for some alone time. The best views of the port are found here.

Later today I will go into the nearby city of Concepcion for my off-day for a well-deserved break!
