If you remember a week ago, I mentioned part of the job that I do in Bookfair; the Cash Desk and Bargain Store. However I realise it would have been more sensible to start with a tour of the Bookfair, before delving into more detail.

Thus today, I will be giving you a tour of the Bookfair, and giving a brief overview of what each work station entails.

Our journey starts at the Whitehouse. Here the visitors purchase their entry tickets and officially enter the port.

We travel along the Quayside. The quayside in Valparaiso is especially long, and requires two volunteers to man.

Then we go up the Gangway. Here the visitor count is recorded, yesterday the visitor count exceeded 1100.

At the Welcome Desk, visitors can purchase special event tickets. It also provides as a central base of operations for the Bookfair.

Next is the Lifeboat. Visitors can sit in the lifeboat and listen to a short presentation outlining the details of how their visit will work.

The Bookfair is the main attraction. The Logos Hope is the worlds largest Bookfair, and sells over 5,000 different kinds of books.

The Information Desk is where the visitors go to whenever they have any queries. The Information Desk also makes announcements.

The Cash Desks is where the visitors pay for their items. Often it can get extremely busy.

The Bargain Store (or the Dealbag) is where the items the ship no longer needs is sold at an extremely low price.

The International Cafe is the place that the visitors can relax and enjoy a bite to eat if the need it. It is also where Connect Teams locate. (Connect Teams talk to the people trying to connect with them and hopefully share the gospel).

Finally we have the exit. Visitors can use the ticket purchases at the Whitehouse to pick up one item for free.

There you have it. A brief tour of the Bookfair. In the future I will explain further what each station entails.
