I was given an actual design test from Ninja Theory which would be completed via a two-fold submission.
The first section was to break down a mechanic from a current well-known game and then enhance it with some extra shabazz. I chose Ghost of Tsushima and expanded an Oil Bomb mechanic.
My breakdown is below:
The second section was to design a scenario using the mechanics in an interesting way.
So I got down to work developing a top-down design:

I then worked on making this design a reality using Unreal Engine 4 to block out my scenario:
